Please note that the exact delivery cost is known after the goods are packed into shipping packaging. Sometimes parcels are bulky but light (soft toys, pillows, etc.). In this case airlines calculate their rates based on either the actual weight or the volumetric weight. By the rules, the chargeable weight is the greater of the two. The volumetric weight is calculated from the dimensions of the parcel: length (cm) x width (cm) x height (cm)/5000. (Maximum parcel size (cm): 120 x 60 x 60). For example, you bought a soft toy weighing 5 kg with packaging measuring 50 x 50 x 50 cm. The volumetric weight in this case is 18 kg (50*50*50/6000-2), the actual weight is 5 kg. The chargeable weight will be based on the volumetric weight – 18 kg.

From 1 January 2020 the duty-free import limits will be reduced to 200 euros and 31 kilograms.
