Cookie Policy · Personal Data PolicyIncrease in the duty-free limit to 1000 euros
The duty-free import threshold for parcels for individuals has been raised to 1,000 euros.
The Decision of the EEC Council dated 20.12.2017 No. 107 «On Certain Issues Related to Goods for Personal Use» comes into force on 28.03.2022 and is valid until 01.04.2023
Previously, a 15% duty was charged on the amount exceeding 200 euros; now you can send a parcel worth up to 1,000 euros duty-free.
We still recommend not to make up a parcel right up to 1,000 euros, because the exchange rate may change by the time the documents are submitted to the FCS and the limit may be exceeded.
If the parcel value exceeds 1,000 euros or its weight is more than 31 kg, you will have to pay a duty of 15% of the value on the amount exceeding the value limit, but not less than 2 euros per 1 kg.
These rules apply to each consignment of goods (i.e. to each customer parcel) delivered by a carrier to an individual under one transport document (HAWB). The value and weight indicators are not summed up, and the control period is not used.
Simply put: the limit applies to each parcel, and the number of shipments per month is not limited. The parcels must be for personal use.
